1. What is Nippon Momento®?

   Nippon Momento® is a series of special effects paint that comes in an array of mesmerising textures and finishes. From interior and exterior spaces to wood and metal, Nippon Momento® allows you enhance your existing wall colours and embellish your space with rich textures.

2. What is Nippon Momento® made of? Is it an environmentally friendly product?

   • It is a low volatile organic compound (VOC), free from harmful chemicals—such as lead, mercury, chrome and heavy metals.
   • It promises a healthier and cleaner environment.

3. Where can I paint Nippon Momento®?

   • Tile
   • Interior walls

4. How long will a Nippon Momento® wall last?

   It is very long-lasting and more durable than wallpapers.

5. Can I paint Nippon Momento® in areas like the bathroom and/or kitchen?

   Yes, you can. Just remember to apply 1 layer of Nippon Momento® Clear Coat over your Nippon Momento® walls to keep it protected.

6. How do I clean a Nippon Momento® wall?

   • Use a damp cloth and gently dab on stained areas
   • Do not apply force when cleaning surfaces of textured finish

7. What would I have to do if I wanted to repaint an existing Nippon Momento® wall with a different finish?

   Textured Paint Series
   • Apply 2 coats of Nippon Momento® Primer over the existing Nippon Momento® wall
   • Repaint the wall with a new variant
   Enhancer Series/Designer Series/Stone Art
   • Sand down wall with sandpaper to smoothen the surface
   • Apply 1 coat of any Nippon wall sealer range
   • Repaint the wall

8. What would I have to do if I wanted to repaint an existing Nippon Momento® wall without any finishes? (Ie: Nippon Spot-less, Nippon Odour-less AirCare, etc)

   • Sand down the previously painted Nippon Momento® surface with sandpaper
   • Apply 1 coat of any Nippon wall sealer range
   • Apply 2 coats of Nippon premium paint range after

11. How do I apply Nippon Momento® to interior walls?

    Textured Paint Series

    For existing walls with base colour:
    • Watch for Cloud Series here
    • Watch for Frost Series here
    For new walls with no base colour:
    • Paint on 1 coat of any Nippon wall sealer range
    • Apply 2 coats of Nippon premium paint range
    • Repaint the wall

12. Can I use other painting brush apart from the Nippon Momento® 3” brush that comes with the toolkit?

    Using the 3” brush that comes with the toolkit is highly recommended as the bristles are specifically designed to be used with the Nippon Momento® special effects paint.

13. How do I clean a Nippon Momento® 3” brush?

    • Rinse it under running water immediately after use
    • Let it dry after

14. What surface preparation will I have to do before I start painting?

    • Always clean the surface by removing any dirt, dust, cobwebs and grease
    • When painting areas like the kitchen and bathrooms, check around the corners, air vents, ceilings, shower stalls, sinks, switch plates, etc

16. What should I do when I start painting a wall with Nippon Momento®?

    • Mask off areas that will not be painted with a masking tape to avoid making a mess
    • Start painting from the corners to ensure a smooth process
    • After dipping the brush into the paint, always sweep it along the edges and corners

17. The following guidelines will help ensure best possible colour consistency:

    Use the same batch of paint for each job or structure. Be as consistent as you can in the amount of paint applied.
